David Lyttle: “I have known Sárán since 2021 which he joined the Belfast hub of my Arts Council of Northern Ireland-funded Jazz Juniors programme following nationwide auditions of talented under 18s. I found him to be enthusiastic, hardworking and always willing to try to new challenging directions and I was not surprised to see the rapid development of his already-clear musical talent. He is a natural student of music, a multi-instrumentalist whose talent extends to Irish traditional music and songwriting. Locally in Armagh, he has made contributions to the community through the Aonacha Mhacha cultural centre and I have been impressed to learn about his creation and adaptation of musical instruments.”
